i just found this site, made by a guy who is working on a port of duke nukem 3d to windows. it’s awesome — now you can play duke nukem again…in high resolution! mmm…brings back old memories of high school…this was one of the few games i actually played.

all you have to do is download the shareware version of the game here, and overwrite the binaries with the newly ported versions. it works great!

excellent…the calendar for fedora has been updated and it looks like core 3 should be out at the end of october!

i’m in santa clara now…i start my job tomorrow.

msu

i’m at msu this week…getting carrie all moved in and everything. it’s a lot different than uiuc!

well, little did i know when i bought my laptop, i picked the intel pro/wireless 2200bg wireless adapter, which wasn’t supported under linux. its sister card, the 2100, which doesn’t have g network support, is slowly being supported by a project over at sourceforge here…the driver is nearly feature-complete now.

the 2200 also has a project here and is finally coming along…they came out with a new release yesterday. it actually supports transmitting and receiving packets! they say it’s probably extremely bug-filled, but at least it’s something. hopefully progress goes a little quicker now that the 2100 driver seems to support about everything…the plan has always been to base the 2200 driver off of the 2100 framework.
