there was an earthquake today! i didn’t feel it…i found out about it on cnn.com:

apparently it happened about three hours away and there wasn’t much damage. but, i have now survived my first california earthquake!

i joined a bowling league at work. today i went to the bowling alley to buy a bowling ball and shoes. i saw one of my teammates there, so i bowled a couple games with him and i bowled a 195! (that’s my all-time high, topping my previous high of 186.)

these are the new nickels, coming out in 2005! (from the u.s. mint)

so i got a replaytv…it’s pretty nifty! i’m liking it so far, it’s pretty darn easy to use! for those of you who don’t know, it’s like a tivo. the replaytv is cool though, because you can network it with other replaytv’s and computers…i’ve gotten it connected to my computer, but haven’t done anything useful yet (like downloading recorded shows from the replaytv and putting them on dvd’s))

as an added bonus, replaytv is going to get an update to its software next month…which should make it even better! (for example, they say it should reduce the delay in changing channels by two seconds!)
